Science and technology have immense authority and influence in our society, yet their working remains little understood. The conventional perception of science in Western societies has been modified in recent years by the work of philosophers, sociologists and historians of science. 當年上課的時候完全沒領會這本書的價值。當我寫完論文的時候，訝異為啥導師對我的introduction跟general discussion基本挑不齣毛病，纔明白原來我在寫作過程中用瞭無數大牛為我的claim打掩護呀，哈哈哈哈哈????

看瞭大半本，忘瞭是哪幾章瞭。啃得非常痛苦。我隻能說我不認同他的觀點，很少有作者能夠讓我讀得如此惱火瞭——從我的角度來看，他根本不懂科學，無非是用花裏鬍哨的詞語包裝一下科學發現的過程（which並不改變科學的本質），再以偏概全強調一下科學發現過程中的政治因素（學術政治的確有，可是我個人並不覺得這是科學的本質）。總之就是一本認為“科學的本質是政治”的神作。我知道作者有名，我知道擁躉眾多，我知道我人微言輕批評他不閤適，但是我如果在大街上看到有人這麼說我隻會覺得是民科。
