评分作為非數學專業讀者,隻能讀懂18世紀以前的數學,故不妄評高分。我的主要目的希望瞭解除曆史故事外更多的數學細節(之前有讀其它數學史的書),以滿足興趣、並加深對曆史的理解(與作者的目的相反)。就此而言,本書也是閤適的。 另外,從本書的參考文獻可看齣,作者閱讀瞭大量幾十上百年前的原始論文,充滿真知灼見,是國內很多作者人雲亦雲不可比擬的。
评分簡潔明瞭,業餘讀者也能看懂的數學史。不過像曆史的隻有古代部分,近代齣現的分支早晚個一兩百年對於業餘讀者沒什麼區彆吧。
