關於古代中國，禮是非常值得研究的一個話題。作者搜集瞭許多文獻，可能由於資料整閤，以及作者想處理的問題太多，使文章顯得有些碎片化，有些淩亂，但用心慢慢看還是有思路預設其中的。
评分很有啓發，這本書用到的學科結閤很奇怪，需要細讀。

评分嘗試以人類學的角度來闡釋禮，想法倒不錯。倆問題值得討論：禮知識的發現是隨時間而變的；禮製有時是有需要再製定，不是一開始就有框架。新清史對本書的引述誤解很多，不可盡信。
