研究作为“文本/表演”的仪式,18世纪的确是较为特殊的对象。而从内容上看,作者的理论建构与事实论述间有着比较明显的空隙,乃至偏移。总的来说,这是一部适合西方读者的作品;对于中国的读者,尤其是研究者而言,也只能做到有限的启发而已。作者的知识似乎过于聚焦于纸面上的清帝国,对整体的帝国历史缺乏深入认识。
评分偶然见到还有这么本书,真是极尽东扯葫芦西扯瓢之能事。。。
评分基础立论有点太文化批评和后殖民影子;某些理论堆砌无必要;面对的是层累的历史,有些人类学解读“倒果为因”看不到背后历史的复杂性;器物的解读有“结构"无“言说”。但本书正式明确从人类学角度切入礼仪和物质形态,这个方向很有潜力。
评分答应的书评至今还没写出来,汗颜。
评分尝试以人类学的角度来阐释礼,想法倒不错。俩问题值得讨论:礼知识的发现是随时间而变的;礼制有时是有需要再制定,不是一开始就有框架。新清史对本书的引述误解很多,不可尽信。
