著者简介

施米特1888年出生在德国西部的一个小镇，天主教徒，从小喜好文学、艺术、音乐、哲学、神学。在大学获得法学博士学位后，一边研究新康德主义法理学，一边写论瓦格纳的华彩文章。1916年，施米特发表了一部从政治哲学角度论诗人多伯勒的长诗《北极光》的专著，从此开始了其长达半个世纪的政治思想生涯。
