This is an introductory undergraduate textbook in set theory. In mathematics these days, essentially everything is a set. Some knowledge of set theory is necessary part of the background everyone needs for further study of mathematics. There is no end to what can be learned of set theory, but here is a beginning.

著者简介

Herbert B.Enderton 哈佛大学博士，师从著名哲学家Hilary Putnam。曾任教于加州大学伯克利分校。现为加州大学洛杉矶分校数学系兼职教授，该校“逻辑学论坛”主席，曾担任《符号逻辑学会评论》杂志的主编。除本书外，他还著有A Mathematical Introduction to Logic和Linear Algebra。

可读性比较高（Enderton的书可读性都比较高），此书不太难的习题较多，能巩固对概念的理解，讲解较细致，自然语言描述的太多，如果系统学习过一阶逻辑可能会不太喜欢太多的自然语言描述，但不影响阅读，适合详细学习ZFC系统。

还在看,此书前面的部分Chapter 1-4,很容易,Chapter 5很烦琐(讲实数的构造,个人觉得有点无聊).后面部分Chapter6-9比较有难度,特别是从第7章的Replacement Axioms开始, 本来准备很快把这本书看完的,现在看来确实还需要花些时间认真读,认真做后面的练习(练习很有用).
