Kurt Vonnegut's absurdist classic Slaughterhouse-Five introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes 'unstuck in time' after he is abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life, concentrating on his (and Vonnegut's) shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden. 评分听了Ethan Hawke的语音书。。他的声音还挺好听的，就是前半小时一点都听不懂。。。进入billy的故事之后就很好懂了，以为适应了美国口音，结果后来出了billy的故事又听不懂了orz。。总之听懂的部分特别美好。。特别适合眼睛炎症发作更加生无可恋的人生。。

评分20160711更新：《刻小说的人》里居然提到了古德内特，最特别的地方在于时空穿越写法。是啊，大概有时候就是无法将零散的记忆串联成线吧。
评分More on the theme of anti-war than sci-fi. Time Travel/sf is rather convenient for carrying out the story and expressing a different philosophy to life/death. The film based on the novel is a successful adaption and loyal to the story.
