前年上讀書課時候讀的書，一直木有標記！感覺找不到彆的能比這個更好用的introduction瞭，寫論文的時候幫瞭我很大的忙。
评分最最接觸的《理想國》的研究文獻是Allan Bloom的Interpretive essay，然後再接觸瞭Strauss的城邦與人中對理想國的解釋，現在開始閱讀非Straussian的文獻，彆有一翻風味。Annas這本導論寫於1981年，是Anglo-American世界中有名的導論。如今讀它從非強調城邦與哲人之間的張力讀視野理解《理想國》。
评分四星半。很細緻的論證梳理和討論，有很多非常有啓發性的觀察，Annas的工作很細緻，勾勒瞭進一步論證可能的方嚮、潛力。但是並不完全認同Annas的方法論，在第三章用後果主義和義務論討論理想國就有些奇怪，蘇格拉底完全沒有“義務”的概念，甚至沒有近似的內容。結果Annas讀齣一個Kantian的蘇格拉底就是很閤邏輯的事情。讀柏拉圖，澄清論證是起點而不是終點。
