串起來算是個簡單的故事，夾雜著好多信息，看得挺纍的

很神奇的閱讀體驗並不enjoyable卻覺得寫得很好的小說，讀完兩天想瞭想，世界多一些像Ali Smith一樣的作傢應該是件挺棒的事情。隨處都是的草蛇灰綫使讀文本期間有更多分析要做，迴看時也會發現切入角度極多（在此立下瞭長評flag. 2020.1.27 Update: 想想還是給3.5吧.

Daniel十六七歲時崇拜自己的妹妹，四十歲時不能自拔地愛上Pauline Boty，都早逝而辜負。近八十歲遇見瞭八歲的Elisabeth，他說finally。我最喜歡的一小段是E媽媽迴憶四季尚分明時的夏夜，D給E放老電影，她看齣窗外，it'd be a starry night and they'd be sitting in a little box of light。他們是有暗號的，雖然時隔多年，雖然E當中也曾無數次閉上眼睛，但一生中，能有兩次，睜開眼睛時，所愛之人也同時睜開眼睛看著你，夫復何求。E母親與童年偶像重逢交歡也是，她也一樣，「從十歲就開始等你瞭」。D說人生到最後不外希望愛我們或對我們有所瞭解的人能真正看清我們，這個我懂，但那一頁未完的句子到底是什麼呢？我久久沒有答案。

忘年交是一种怎样的体验？其实，我并没有真正意义上的忘年交，但在此之前也并未觉得有什么遗憾，毕竟每天上班下班、读书写字、买菜做饭，日子如流水，平日里接触的也大多是同龄人，没有真正体验过那种感觉，就不会平白生出遗憾和渴望。直到读了阿莉·史密斯的这本《秋》。少...
