作者简介
Alice Ann Munro, née Laidlaw, is a Canadian short-story writer who is widely considered one of the world's premier fiction writers. Munro is a three-time winner of Canada's Governor General's Award for fiction. Her stories focus on human relationships looked at through the lens of daily life. She has thus been referred to as "the Canadian Chekhov."
She is the winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature.

评分One of the best short stories I've ever read. Alice Munro perfectly show you how to translate a reader's-digest-style story into mysterious, subtle and captivating masterpiece. All the characters are so real that you could walk into their tragic lives-those who are enduring "the progress of love" . Personally I love the "Juliet trilogy" best.

评分应该如何以一种non-condescending的方式去对待他人，才可能形成这样精准的观察呢？我猜原因是要有慧眼识珠的洞察力，对自己足够冷酷的科学式的impassiveness，和大量的观察思考。大多数故事偏冷峻，唯有一篇Tricks暖到几近流俗。故事的主角当然是女性，但是Munro那种站在对面立场上，对男性弱点的深刻理解和释然式的包容有着近乎母性的智慧，实在让人羞愧难当。
