本书是20世纪美国女诗人H.D. 的抒情诗选，也是希尔达作品中译本的抢先发售出版。H.D.，全名Hilda Doolittle，希尔达·杜利特尔。她的诗作风格独特，深受埃兹拉·庞德肯定，有评论称她的作品将“暖雪与冷岩融于一身”。尽管她的早期作品有明显的意象派风格，但“意象派”于她而言只是风格之一，并非全部。收入本书的遴选范围涵盖H.D.的《海园》(Sea Garden，1916)、《许门》(Hymen，1921)、《赫利奥多拉及其他》(Heliodora and Other Poems，1924)、《红蔷赤铜》(Red Roses for Bronze，1931)、《三部曲》(Trilogy，1944—1946)、《玄理》(Hermetic Definition)四部诗集，诗歌的创作时间基本可以包纳H.D.创作生涯的早中晚三个时期。通过阅读本书，读者可以发现H.D. 诗歌风格的多元本性。
作者简介
希尔达·杜利特尔（ Hilda Doolittle 1886—1961）20世纪美国女诗人。早期的诗歌具有强烈的意象派特点，后期诗歌的题材和风格呈现多元化发展。代表作有《红蔷赤铜》《三部曲》《海伦在埃及》等。

评分算是对HD一个比较全面的呈现，比起印象中的自然题材多了许多创作与宗教的题材，还是比较丰富且有创造力的。翻译有一些错译，然后也轻微不大对头。
评分在图书馆偶然看到的诗集，感觉书名很有意思就借来读，后来正好在《如何抑止女性写作》里面也看到提到了这位诗人，很是巧合。 可能因为是中英双语，选集的诗数量其实比较少，很多组诗也只是部分选编。附录和后记里面提到的诗也很想读啊(x 译后记有提到一些诗和诗人的私生活相关，又和神话故事相关，我的知识储备感觉还不够能够好好理解
评分算是对HD一个比较全面的呈现，比起印象中的自然题材多了许多创作与宗教的题材，还是比较丰富且有创造力的。翻译有一些错译，然后也轻微不大对头。
评分读过译者的达夫，所以对这本的译文没啥高期待，不知为何译文中删去了标点（我不喜欢没标点的诗歌，正如老师不喜欢乱点标点的作文），且有误译（《航向比雷艾夫斯城》），完全未译《海伦在埃及》。 但作为H.D.的第一个出版译本，该书还是值得五星的。
