The son of a zookeeper, Pi Patel has an encyclopedic knowledge of animal behavior and a fervent love of stories. When Pi is sixteen, his family emigrates from India to North America aboard a Japanese cargo ship, along with their zoo animals bound for new homes.
The ship sinks. Pi finds himself alone in a lifeboat, his only companions a hyena, an orangutan, a wounded zebra, and Richard Parker, a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Soon the tiger has dispatched all but Pi, whose fear, knowledge, and cunning allow him to coexist with Richard Parker for 227 days while lost at sea. When they finally reach the coast of Mexico, Richard Parker flees to the jungle, never to be seen again. The Japanese authorities who interrogate Pi refuse to believe his story and press him to tell them "the truth." After hours of coercion, Pi tells a second story, a story much less fantastical, much more conventional--but is it more true?

被劇透瞭太可惡啊啊啊啊啊啊啊……一半棄
评分omg又是一本拖延癥的傑作，5 months!!! 給四星除瞭因為想給沒讀懂的地方留一些空間外，還有點那種復雜之後迴歸簡單的失落感。(也許是因為看過電影再加上期望又過高？)除瞭奇幻的想像之外，吸引人的還有當代的幽默的語言，青少年的視角，動物學科普，當然多宗教信仰及其影響這一塊幾乎沒看懂（宗教魔術名詞浸淫的前幾章你指望我讀懂多少），總的來說後半部分比前半部分好懂也好理解，而且這是至今為止唯一一本能讓我看到不少地方會心一笑的英文原版！看過中文之後再來對比再來看下麵的書評吧！英文原版總是痛苦總是拖延，要想辦法！一，主動自覺加快速度，速度慢反而容易走神，二，有意識控製自己先理解大意，不要一開始就陷入詞匯，語式和語言特點的桎梏！！
