In the new global economy, where, despite unprecedented increases in overall opulence, the contemporary world denies elementary freedoms to vast numbers--perhaps even the majority of people--he concludes, it is still possible to practically and optimistically restain a sense of social accountability. 著者簡介
Amartya Sen is the Master of Trinity College, Cambridge, and the winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Economic Science. He has been President of the Indian Economic Association, the American Economic Association, the International Economic Association and the Econometric Society. He has taught at Calcutta, Delhi, Oxford, Cambridge, the London School of Economics, and Harvard.

评分還是旅途中的閱讀速度最快
评分因為期待太高，讀時反倒覺得理論框架隻算中規中矩，對數據案例的過簡處理也有些失望。但結論仍能做到相對客觀、振聾發聵，是為發展事業而開天闢地之作。
评分很好的一本書，讀完之後對於政治學、經濟學、公共政策、還有政治哲學，都有很大的幫助！
