評分本文行文有点长,将阐述的内容有: 1、此书的最大特色——多种单词记忆方法的集大成者 2、此书的难点——单词看不懂,单词音标看不懂读不出,没有合适的朗读材料 3、此书难点的解决——每个新人都必须重复地查单词?我不下地狱谁下地狱 说起来惭愧,《word power made easy》这...
評分It is a vocabulary book, but it is also a book about ideas. If you read it with the latter in mind, you will have much more fun.
評分先摘录几个词汇: Misogynist [mɪ'sɑːdʒɪnɪst] 厌恶女性者 Philanderer [fɪ'lændərər] 玩弄女性者 Virago [vɪ'rɑːɡoʊ] 泼妇;悍妇 Lecher ['letʃər] 色鬼 Pyromaniac [ˌpaɪroʊ'meɪniæk] 纵火...
評分本文首发在wordpowerplugin 单纯看数据可以得出的结论: (1)Builder的字数是Power的近两倍。 (2)词根(不包括前后缀)的数量两本书差别不大。 (3)一级重点单词Builder的量是Power的十倍,但因为行文结构的不同有一点需要注意的是,一级重点单词虽然都是与词根直接挂钩的...

评分"Your vocabulary indicates the alertness and range of your mind. Ideas cannot exist without verbalization."
评分前幾年看過這本書,個人覺得是英語詞匯類最好的書沒有之一,對詞根詞源和英語構詞法的解釋清晰易懂。找齣來來推薦給彆人的時候順便馬剋一下
评分1.作者簡介錯瞭,不是這位同名的作傢,提交瞭但是豆瓣沒有采用,如果有人看到可以點更新描述進去,選2006年去世的那位,幫忙加權修正一下。2.讀單詞書也能讀到傢鄉哈哈,裏麵的places that made our language,satin詞源是泉州。3. Not the urge to learn "words" - words are only symbols of ideas. But the urge to learn facts, theories, concepts, informations, knowledge, understanding. 4.單詞難度比較低,也是很多年以前的書瞭,現在很多教學方法都較之進步瞭。
评分花瞭很長時間慢慢的“讀”,很同意作者Norman Lewis說的"...no educative process is ever the end; it is always the beginning of more education, more learning, more living." 這本書要一直讀下去。
