Should I regret that Mrs Gaskell should die before she finished the very last chapter or rejoice that after all she managed to write so close to the end that we can easily guess what is left unwritten?

雖是讓人有簡·奧斯汀的錯覺，但人物的可愛和生動，故事的麯摺和張力，鄉村的冷暖人情真的比曼斯菲爾德莊園強很多，隻是在細膩上還是不及奧斯汀，二寸牙雕不是能亂封的。
