邁剋爾•坎寜安（1952-）

美國當代著名作傢。

目前在耶魯大學擔任創造性寫作課程教授。

1990齣版《末世之傢》，受到廣泛贊譽。

1995年獲得懷廷作傢奬。

1998年作品《時時刻刻》獲得巨大成功，登上《紐約時報》暢銷書榜，同時獲得普利策奬和筆會/福剋納奬，並被改編成同名電影，妮可•基德曼憑藉該部影片摘得第75屆奧斯卡最佳女主角奬。

1999年獲得歐•亨利短篇小說奬。

2005年作品《試驗年代》同樣備受好評。

2011年作品《夜幕降臨》長居《洛杉磯時報》暢銷書榜。

我覺得比The Hours好看。

有點失望，從結構到語言到人物都跟flesh and blood相似，好像看瞭重復的書

Cunningham想要描繪hippie後的Reagan政府和艾滋潮衝擊下堅強生活著的LGBTQ和女性們，但整體解構卻非常散亂和沒有節奏，但是part 3又過於動人瞭。個人特彆喜歡Part 2開頭時Jonathan在紐約的自我探索和與Erich的關係，放在當今也異常細緻和準確。
