Anyone who wishes to achieve a mastery of the nuances of English must read this book with intensive concentration.

评分主要以英语为研究对象的语言学文集/有很强烈的个人意见和风格，不仅仅是各学派学说的罗列/有很多恍然大悟和醍醐灌顶的规律，比如pail和bucket，peep和peek，ladybug和ladybird/发现自从开始读原版绘本以来，英语词汇量又实现了一个飞跃啊
评分前半段惊艳，后半段有些抖机灵。即便并非我的mother tongue，无法形容我对于这门语言的爱。
评分第二本Bill Bryson。果然是什么题材都能让布莱森老师写的像脱口秀。但听说书中不少错误的内容，包括有关中文的部分。
