作者简介
保罗•奥斯特Paul Auster
1947年出生于新泽西州的纽瓦克市，集小说家、诗人、剧作家、译者、电影导演等多重身份于一身，被视为美国当代最勇于创新的小说家之一。
主要作品有小说《纽约三部曲》《幻影书》《在地图结束的地方》《密室中的旅行》《日落公园》以及回忆录《孤独及其所创造的》等。曾获法国美第奇文学奖、美国约翰•克林顿文学杰出贡献奖、西班牙阿斯图里亚斯王子文学奖，作品被翻译成30种文字，他也是每年冲击诺贝尔文学奖的有力人选之一。
编剧并导演的电影作品有《烟》《面有忧色》和《桥上的露露》，其中《烟》在1996年获得柏林电影节银熊奖和最佳编剧奖。
目前定居于纽约的布鲁克林区。

评分看Stephen King的On writing(算是自传)前，我没看过他的任何小说，但那本书跟小说一样精彩。读Paul的这本书也一样，我没看过他的小说。看的过程中，我惊叹他的记忆，为什么那么细节的东西都可以记得。这本书好像是有各种清单串起来，最后的部分列了一堆糖果甜食的名称，我是吞着口水看完的。从小到大住过的地方，旅行的地方和时间，那些妹子的名字，婚姻，食物，死亡，手可以做的事，对于写作倒是很少提到。你不觉得他是作家，而是一个很可爱的人，听他的故事，没有说教，只有坦诚，让你看到自己看不见的美。然后感叹一下人间还是值得的~One must die lovable (if one can)
