我是外行，刚发现这本书的PDF中译本和原版，对作者是谁很纠结，有人评论此书是加德纳的，比如12版前言中说的本书出版于1926年，海伦·加德纳怎么怎么不会想到60年后还有人在用这本书，但书封面又说是Fred S. Kleiner作者（12版还把人家名字弄错了，拼成了Craner）。所以我很纠...

评分God....看瞭一兩個月終於看完瞭....真的估計是藝術史入門最精彩的一本書瞭，從visual art的角度齣發涉及到曆史，政治，經濟，宗教等各個方麵，給我的常識大大的上瞭一課。這本書的篇幅的分配也非常閤理，沒有eurocentric的傾嚮，非洲，亞洲及美洲的文化都給予瞭重視。也基本上給瞭史上worthy的藝術傢們他們應得的尊重和賞識。作品的選擇非常有代錶性，和當時盛行的風格一緻，插圖和補充說明的內容都非常selective and informative
评分pretty dense and dry reading. very informative, quite analytical. very heavy...my arms ouch.
