李建群，现为中央美术学院美术史系教授，外国美术教研室教师，硕士研究生导师。主攻西方近现代美术史。1984-1987年中央美术学院美术史系研究生，获硕士学位；1987至今，中央美术院美术史系教师；1992-1993年，伦敦大学考陶尔美术学院访问学者，主修中世纪美术；2002年，伦敦大学大学学院美术史系高访学者，主修英国美术史，西方女性艺术研究。该书由李建群女士组织中央美院师生一流翻译团队集体完成。

完成了今年最大的一个任务，就是啃完了900多页的《加德纳艺术通史》。这本书买了一年，放在家里积灰。其实也没有积灰，就是遇到不懂的艺术名词会当做词典和百科查阅一下。比如，遇到“野兽派”，就直接翻阅到野兽派章节阅读。但是还是看得一知半解。所以这种读法也是行不通...

我是外行，刚发现这本书的PDF中译本和原版，对作者是谁很纠结，有人评论此书是加德纳的，比如12版前言中说的本书出版于1926年，海伦·加德纳怎么怎么不会想到60年后还有人在用这本书，但书封面又说是Fred S. Kleiner作者（12版还把人家名字弄错了，拼成了Craner）。所以我很纠...
