讀的愛不釋手，很受啓發。作者的核心觀點是成功不僅是個人的，還包括機會的垂青，機會可能是時代賦予的，可能是傢庭培養的，也可能是自己通過1萬小時的努力獲得的。最感觸的是傢庭對孩子的影響，中産傢庭會盡最大可能培養孩子的視野、社交和其他能力，從而不斷積纍優勢，讓他們獲得更多機會同時也能把握機會。因此，有些天纔因為傢庭原因而隕落，就格外令人痛心瞭。有兩點覺得不太認同：第一是作者認為亞洲學生數學能力好是源於先輩水稻種植的勤奮觀念，但我覺得可能是因為數學能力可以通過不斷訓練提高，而之所以需要不斷訓練主要是在於亞洲人多，競爭壓力太大，因此纔勤奮。第二是作者認為大韓航空飛機此前失事太多是因為他們遵從權威的文化影響，這種聯係感覺比較模糊，不是那麼緊密，說理力不強。製度原因相比於文化原因在解釋力上感覺更具體。

看完受益頗多，10000小時定律，時機機遇一樣重要，傢庭背景決定80%。 那麼下一個問題是，怎麼樣發現機遇？

熱情、天纔和勤奮是與眾不同人群的特質，但生活的時代也很重要。時勢造英雄，如果遇到一個機遇和挑戰並存的時代，但是你年紀尚輕無法意識到它的重要性，或者年紀過大麵臨太多生活壓力，則會錯失施展纔華的機會。還有父母竭盡全力地教育，鼓勵他們挑戰權威，錶達自我。堅持做什麼比說什麼重要。
