是时候停止文化转向了。在关注sociocultural的笼统问题上加入“历史”的编排仅仅能把这个社会/文化概念变成一个可供分析的资源而非分析性的资源。诸位重视Bourdieu但仍不够，Sewell&Biernacki从他来，前者在改进中对立，后者直接借用其概念。其余文章的好处是，能让我们看到没咋发过作品的Biernacki在那时候到底有何争论，这对梳理一个广义文化概念——从人类学那种发源到布大爷的对立——非常有用。（也能看出那时候人们那么重视宏大的统摄性理论哦...）

Sewell对于文化的解释并不是要在已经非常纷繁复杂的学术传统里再立一套关于行动、符号、意义和结构的解说，而是要为经验研究者提供一个切实可行的观察和写作方案。我的路数和他非常相近。不是像裴宜理那样武断地给中国所谓的公民社会文化贴上一个“反洛克主义”的标签，而是要探寻新的概念如何形成，如何被人转化和扭曲，如何在有意和无意的行动中构建一个新的体系。缺乏一贯性正是这个体系的活力所在。
