Herbert B.Enderton，哈佛大学博士，师从著名哲学家hilary putnam。曾任教于加州大学伯克利分校。现为加州大学洛杉矶分校数学系兼职教授，该校“逻辑学论坛”主席，曾担任《符号逻辑学会评论》杂志的主编。除本书外，他还著有另外两本广受好评的教材elements of set theory（影印版已经由人民邮电出版社出版）和linear algebra。

上课上到大约第三章，讲课的水平真是一般，没比只看课本更清楚。其实我就是不感兴趣。
评分讲得简单习题难得要死！
评分课学完了，我也倒了。。
评分修图灵奖大神的课扫了一半多，其实书上讲得还算蛮注重intuition和sign-posting的，但估计一般人自己看还是会费劲吧。。。Enderton 在 ucla 的主页还保持着通信地址、邮箱、电话、最近教的课等信息，页面最上面却有一行显得格格不入的“Herbert B. Enderton，1936 - 2010”，看得人不禁好伤感。。。
评分非常简单的入门读物，适合速读
