终于看完了这本大“字典”。作者异想天开的回忆录，把主人公小时候的命运分成了四个平行的宇宙，四种人生，生活在美国上世纪的一家人，背景含的内容比故事本身多。感觉，老外很容易死；写书的老外偏激的多；美国青年人在融入社会这件事上确实比我们先行了好多好多。

可读性4星难度1星半开头读得快乐后面读得痛苦

巨长没有必要的长不过阅读难度很低。一个战后婴儿在四个平行空间的前二十年的生活大量的心理细节和生活细节的描述有种看连续剧的感觉。顺便开了书单和影单可当作5 60年代的纽约左翼文化人的豆瓣清单使用或者作者本人的自传。本书最出彩的地方我觉得是题目。
