學院裏組織讀書會討論這本書……作者花瞭很大篇幅講失去身體的恐懼，講黑人的身體如何被壓迫被當成燃料來推動美國的曆史進程……這種身體觀對我來說非常陌生，因為我的身體觀早就被現代醫學格式化瞭，因為我不曾像在巴爾的摩長大的作者那樣在7-11門口目睹隨意的槍擊……不過這一次UA的事情，讓我開始想象到那種脖子被人用靴子踩住的壓迫感……
