First published in 1978, Reading Greek has become a best-selling one-year introductory course in ancient Greek for students and adults. It combines the best of modern and traditional language-learning techniques and is used widely in schools, summer schools and universities across the world. It has also been translated into several foreign languages. This volume contains a narrative adapted entirely from ancient authors, including Herodotus, Euripides, Aristophanes and Demosthenes, in order to encourage students rapidly to develop their reading skills. 评分考虑到本书毕竟也陪了我一年半……虽然我还是不适应初级就大规模阅读的模式但是下一届小盆友也许适应吧~以及那么多人都不喜欢Wheelock和Intensive Course那种风格的东西，各有所好吧~

评分我是通过读这套教材学会古希腊语的。我原本读Meno都有问题，但这个阅读和单词刷到第7课左右，Apology都可以比较舒服地读下去。总结（英国教材行！
评分英国人为什么要用这种教材，没天理，曾被它把已经积累的古希腊语知识解构。给人一种上来就能读短文的错觉，实际上收获甚微。
