Song of Solomon explores the quest for cultural identity through an African American folktale about enslaved Africans who escape slavery by fleeing back to Africa. The novel tells the story of Macon "Milkman" Dead, a young man alienated from himself and estranged from his family, his community, and his historical and cultural roots. 開頭不明所以但是越看越有意思
评分不卑不亢，無理而妙。不愧為黑人女作傢。
评分非常享受整個閱讀過程，文字有力震撼，文采一流。飛：寓意自由，一種無懼死亡，坦誠麵對自己，心靈上的自由；一直找不到的金子：黑人獲得財富，但卻丟失瞭初心，成為外黑內白。迴到故鄉，貧瘠，但男主第一次意識到，像父親那樣物質富有，並不是獲取自由，反而是眾叛親離；所羅門之歌高唱，讓他頓悟。
评分大佩的摯愛之一。綿密的話語，娓娓道來的節奏，卻很有力量。“If you surrendered to the air, you could ride it.” 結局有點兒像《鳥人》，看完心裏又沉重又輕鬆。Milkman關於deserve的幡然醒悟，Guitar對Hagar失戀的勸慰，還有對孔雀為何飛不高的解釋，這三段文字很齣彩，第五顆星完完全全給這三段話！【讀的時候一直在用黑人口音腦補他們的對話我也是醉瞭_(:3」∠)_
评分非常有力量的作品，結尾簡直像顆子彈。最喜歡Pilate，她一傢的閤唱簡直是古希臘歌隊，低沉深厚的靈魂樂。每一段曆史都是神話。My brother, my dreamer, my killer簡直不能更配結局……
