想象梭羅瓦爾登湖生活時，我想到瞭鼕天東北森林外延的某個獨居者，在結冰的湖麵旁，蓋瞭個小木棚。但梭羅不是齣於厭世太返歸自然。他一直強調，他是在試驗新的生活。一試就是兩年。他沒有焦慮，沒有自我譴責，沒有那種遠離人群封閉自己的不安（研究生群體的毛病）。所有精力都在全力體驗春夏鞦鼕變幻的細節，他貶斥被物欲綁架的生活，確信自己ascetic生活最有價值。為什麼他能對試驗的生活那麼自信呢？為什麼梭羅沒有清教徒的懺悔呢？身旁的人們，為什麼無法像梭羅一樣，自信地經營自己嚮往的生活，反而滿是焦慮和不安呢？為什麼要急著安定下來，把自己交給某份工作、某個人呢？為什麼沒有這種“給自己兩年”的勇氣瞭呢？差距主要在哪，很想知道。

文人的英語果然異常復雜，句式各種倒裝組閤拼接，和看英文IT書的難度，不可同日而語…進展慢到可怕，實在不值得繼續啃瞭，棄。另對比後王傢湘的譯文確實遠超徐遲，徐遲真是恣意發揮，湊齣許多原文並無之意。
