第一次讀是小學 在保爾·柯察金的映襯之下它顯示齣難以言喻的美感。或許三年級時我的確體會著深刻的憂傷 總之當時我覺得我看懂瞭 在以後的歲月裏這本書也就成瞭我最喜歡的小說。

讀過的第一本愛情小說，六歲那年。 It was sad. It was beyond sadness.

在《呼嘯山莊》麵前，我的心髒永遠不夠強壯，這個抑鬱、扭麯、歇斯底裏的愛情故事讀起來讓人心力交瘁。印象中有評論傢刻薄地寫到：“艾米麗在寫到一半時怎麼竟沒有自殺？”Well, nobody knows. Heathcliff在摯愛Catherine死前說：“May you not rest, as long as I am living. You said I killed you—haunted me, then.” 對我來說，這部放在書架上的Wuthering Heights本身，就是一副不散的陰魂。

很多次想起关于爱情，都是因为凯瑟琳她说，我就是希刺克利夫，他永远永远在我心里。想到，就会动容，就会黯然。 爱情的定义，是心动么，是温柔么，是无奈么。呼啸山庄里，爱就是天雷地火，生死相许，在凯瑟琳和希刺克利夫面前，许多的所谓爱情都黯然失色。动心，失望，...  

《外国文学史》上是把勃朗特这两姐妹一起介绍的，其中重点介绍的作品自然是《简爱》与《呼啸山庄》。我拜读这两本大作的时间相差甚远，但我还清楚的记得看书时的分别感觉。看简爱时只觉得平淡，肤浅如我向来爱的是基督山伯爵这类情节背景广阔跌宕起伏的小说（我后来一回想，...  

在重读之前我想不起《呼啸山庄》的任何好处。自然，希刺克厉夫的黑头发和黑眼睛，凯瑟琳的骄傲与疯狂，呼啸山庄的冷峻和荒凉是不能忘记的，也仅此而已——然而这差不多是小说的全部要素了。如果说托尔斯泰和福楼拜的广博使人敬服，那么这种情景剧般的简单结构便叫人惊异了。类...
