在很多地方，作者用瞭前現代的權力關係隱喻去闡釋事件，大概有誤導人的嫌疑。而寫到憲法第九條的來曆時，作者將各說法中很關鍵的一個——“幣原說”斥為是“老人常見的錯誤記憶”，兩句話就帶過，作者這種做法讓人覺得不是很可靠。不過總體而言，讀這本書還是挺有收獲的。

本意是當文獻跳著翻，卻總不自覺地連看一兩章。好多處讀到emotional。可惜不是每一次的學術閱讀都像這樣愉悅。

有意思的點很多，缺點是隻關注日本缺乏世界，隻關注當下缺乏來龍去脈，隻關注名缺乏實

“大多數日本人麵對欺騙太弱智，麵對壓迫又太沒種“，所以被東條等人騙瞭的日本人”應該為自己的愚蠢承擔責任“；日本軍人太容易墮入殘暴可能是由於”道德和教育的基本缺陷——甚至整個民族信仰核心的某段空白“；可惜戰後民間的自省因韓戰的爆發被美軍的審查機構壓製未成氣候。現在再看中國的牛奶疫苗，韓國的女星自殺，其實都沒強到哪兒去。——都是某種程度對他者的殘暴，都被全民迅速地消化掉瞭。
