著者簡介

Jonathan Harr lives and works in Northampton, Massachusetts, where he has taught nonfiction writing at Smith College. He is a former staff writer at New England Monthly and has written for The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine.

Harr spent nine years researching and writing A Civil Action, which was published in 1995, subsequently nominated for a National Book Award, and awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award.

壓抑就像封麵有時候覺得他有些自負瞭朋友和夥伴的忠告一概忽略為瞭想象中不切實際的勝利黑著走書中的一句評論很認同即或許最開始他是為瞭名利但是後來他真的是為瞭公益但反過來想想任何人對一件事有這麼深刻的瞭解都很難再以膚淺如名利的原因為繼知道適可而止也是很重要的

Easy to read and attractive,but the end is quite gloomy.

The most intriguing and compelling litigation story I have ever read. 整個感恩節都在讀的一本書，也是各大法學院的必讀，沒讀過簡直不好意思說自己pre-law。在法庭上無法獲得的正義，讓全社會，讓曆史來重新審判。

寥寥幾筆就能立起人物形象，抽絲剝繭把一個復雜而很有可能無聊的故事慢慢展開，還講得極為生動有趣。整本書高潮迭起，讓人手不釋捲，實在非常精彩。

下半年入P大国际法学院，这本是导师推荐的入学前需要读完的第一本书,算是对美国法律体系是怎么运作的初步印象吧，导师强调的还是解决问题的思维而不是法律条文。另外的一本的是To Kill A Mockingbird.
