-"im currently working on the sex chapter" -"well..that will be 20 more blank pages huh"....XXDDDD英国人太有趣了。。不过中国人也有很多的相似之处。换一个角度看文化很有意思！

最大的乐趣和收获就是学会了怎样伪装成英国上流阶层：饭后甜点一定要说pudding而不要说dessert，厕所一定要说loo或lavatory而不要说toilet，客厅叫做living room而不叫lounge，沙发叫做sofa而不是couch（because couch is much too American...）非常好玩的一本书！

有趣。但后来有点重复。某些方面，其实英国人和中国人也差不多，哈？

描写英国人习性上乘之作。对participant observation的介绍让人垂涎三尺，点燃了我读人类学的兴趣。

腐国人民的自黑大作《英国人的言行潜规则》：内容很有意思，读起来却佶屈聱牙没有快感。可能是作者太沉迷于自己的逻辑和论述，原本能很简单说清楚的事情却总是各种绕各种不畅快，更像是学术作品不像是通俗读物。

A handy guide for the confused. But always remember that there's no shortcut when it comes to cultural and social code, even it's the country you come from. A deeper understanding depends on your involvement in English culture  

虽说是本轻松的读物，却写得很规范。从前言、结论和后记中可以看出，这是一本纯正的人类学著作。 我最喜欢“前言：本土人类学”这一章，作者（她本人也是英国人）用英国的幽默方式介绍了研究对象、研究综述和方法论，却没有采用任何一个吓人的专业术语和标签，反而讲述了很多...  

尽管有些学者认为用文化整体的论调来描述某种“集体性格”是一种令人遗憾的失误，但人们对所谓“国民性”的剖析和批判，一直抱有浓厚的兴趣。作为一个人类学家，凯特•福克斯在踏入这片有着激烈争议的雷区时，采取了这样一种视角：向英国人平时视为理所当然的那些社会言行规...
