著者簡介
柯律格（Craig Clunas）1954年齣生於英國蘇格蘭阿伯丁，現任英國牛津大學藝術史係講座教授，曾任倫敦維多利亞與艾伯特博物館（Victoria & Albert Museum）中國部資深研究員兼策展人15年，並自1994年起先後執教於薩塞剋斯大學（University of Sussex）藝術史係及倫敦大學亞非學院（SOAS）。柯律格是當前從物質文化角度研究中國文明史的重要學者，自1991年起陸續齣版《長物：早期現代中國的物質文化與社會狀況》（Superfluous Things: Material Culture and Social Status in Early Modern China, 1991）、《豐饒之地：明代中國的園林文化》（Fruitful Sites: Garden Culture in Ming Dynasty China, 1996）、《早期現代中國的圖畫與視覺性》（Pictures and Visuality in Early Modern China, 1997）、《中國藝術》（Art in China, 1997）及《雅債：文徵明的社交性藝術》（Elegant Debts; the Social Art of Wen Zhengming, 1470-1559 , 2004）、《大明帝國：明代中國的視覺和物質文化》（Empire of Great Brightness: Visual and Material Cultures of Ming China, 1368-1644, 2007）等書。
