Simon Sebag Montefiore read history at Cambridge University. His books have been published in more than thirty-five languages. 評分 評分这本书或许原版写得特别精彩吧,反正这个假期这本书上了各大网站的推荐书单,而且清一色好评。可是这本书翻译很差有没有!每一句读起来都格外生涩,根本就是直译,毫无走心好伐。我觉得不值那50多块钱!因为翻译毁了这本书!
1. 開始還沒有感覺,比較中立客觀;看到後麵,尤其近代開始,就很明顯是猶太人寫的。 2. 看的英文為主,中文為輔。譯後記纔發現是多人閤譯,難怪有些地方Nablus翻譯成那不勒斯(囧),有些地方是納布盧斯。 3. 看書之前,必須看一遍地圖。 4. 書寫的很好

评分有意思的是,一次乘飛機,鄰座的一個以色列大爺一度以為我在讀Montefiore傢族的傳記。聊瞭會纔知道這個傢族在英國勢力強大,非常富有。他們曾經在以色列建國的時候捐瞭一大筆錢,現在以色列依然有很多街道以傢族姓氏命名
