畢業於加州大學伯剋利分校，在齣版業工作過十年，之後轉入電視行業。從事過諸多工作，一直擔任“法庭頻道”和“作秀時間”欄目主管製片人，紐約華納兄弟電影公司、洛杉磯威秀電影公司等的故事顧問。
麗薩在《行傢解惑：電影劇本創作》（孤鷹齣版社，2004）一書中起著重要作用。她的作品曾發錶在故事新秀網及《哈芬頓郵報》上，並在紐約市的第七十八街劇場展演。在洛杉磯的三S、我愛猜字、瘋狂猜字及化在你嘴裏（她閤拍的月度個人作品係列）等節目中也多次齣現。多年來，她從未間斷過一對一地幫助作者、製片人和代理人開發新的書籍和影片。此外，麗薩還擔任過安吉拉•裏納爾迪文學代理公司的代理人。
現在，她是加州大學洛杉磯分校寫作項目的教員，和丈夫居住在加利福尼亞州的聖塔莫尼卡市。
