As in Different Seasons (1982), King takes a mostly nonfantastic approach to grim themes. Now, as then, these tales show how a skilled storyteller with a good tale to tell can make unsettling fiction compulsively readable.

四篇比较扭曲的中篇小说，很久之前看的，忘了具体题目了。特别喜欢那篇主角报复自己老朋友的故事。越是所谓“好朋友”就越容易成仇。本书就素质而论够得上5星。但是现在评价，尤其是已经看过了最新的《11/22/63》，只好委屈它一个4星了。

挑了两篇短的看了看。这个人有意识地操纵你的情绪（有包邮许多斜体字和回车哦）。大家都喜欢这种我觉得挺bullhead的“恶”么？很无趣啊~

开始重新更在读书单。有点想快点看完这本书，想看小清新有很多爱的暖小说。确实是重口味惊悚类型，1922真的是将怕老鼠的我看得就要读不下文字了，春节看到现在才看了63%，才到第二个故事。但是可读性很强，英文不难，偶有几个不懂的也不影响理解

精神惊悚NO.1可是有些故事篇幅实在啰嗦不够精炼。四星。适合悠闲时间多的读者。BTW，中文翻译太过分，1922原著最惊悚的大结局给删的干干净净。

看完"Big Driver"后推荐看电影《三块广告牌》"A Good Marriage"后推荐电影《八毫米》。If you’re going into a very dark place, then you should take a bright light, and shine it on everything. If you don’t want to see, why in God’s name would you dare the dark at all? I never truckled; I never took off my hat to Fashion and held it out for pennies. By God, I told them the truth.
