The real star is Harding's language, which dazzles whether he's describing the workings of clocks, sensory images of nature, the many engaging side characters who populate the book, or even a short passage on how to build a bird nest. 人之将死，思想很复杂怪诞，一些看似毫无关联的东西一起涌上心头。想家庭，思亲人。三代人的生活。老实说如果看电子版我早早的就会放弃这本书。看着挺累的，难理解，可能要等静下来的时候再读。亦或是普利策小说奖也不过如此，还是外国的文化不能理解。有待再次阅读后的感悟。
