before we can live with other folks, we’ve got to live with ourselves. The one thing that doesn’t abide our majority rule is a person’s conscience. Real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what.
评分don't know if it was the music playing on my mac that got me, or the words here in the book, but it was really a wonderful read, the best of this year perhaps. it is witty, lovely and kind, telling in the simplest yet most marvellous way who we should be, what we should do, and how we should live before we die.
