After 1989, capitalism has successfully presented itself as the only realistic political-economic system - a situation that the bank crisis of 2008, far from ending, actually compounded. The book analyses the development and principal features of this capitalist realism as a lived ideological framework. Using examples from politics, films, fiction, work and education, it argues that capitalist realism colours all areas of contemporary experience. But it will also show that, because of a number of inconsistencies and glitches internal to the capitalist reality program capitalism in fact is anything but realistic.

fisher太文青了，他的k-punk博客文学挺好看，但写这种书就meh
评分To"get real" is to confront a state-of-nature where dog eats dog, where you're either a winner or a loser, and where most will be losers.
评分最有意思的是第五节讲资本主义和大众心理疾病的章节，虽然是spin off D&G的Anti Oedipus。全书主体论证都是借詹明逊和齐泽克的手笔，毕竟专栏风。“the current ruling ontology denies any possibility of a social causation of mental illness. The chemico-biologization of mental illness is of course strictly commensurate with its de-politicization.”
评分2019以Fisher的小册子收尾 看这本大概是因为下学期不一定会上PO的Core Media Theory于是自己补课 不过整体还是没有什么新意 重复了Barthes所说的抵抗全球资本主义的文学终究被Jameson所言的Postmodern Cultural Logic所收编 对fantasy structure和Capitalist Real也是浅尝辄止 倒是讲了心理疾病和官僚制在post-disciplinary society的起源 但也是重复Foucault和Szasz的观点 大概也是一通嘴炮但最后一章也没给出a leftist alternative 不如读Jameson等人原著 更像是导读书
