著者簡介
馬修·波利 (Matthew Polly)，美國旅行作傢。1992年，21歲的馬修前往中國，在河南少林寺學藝兩年，拜釋永信為師，是少林寺第一位正式的美國弟子。2003年，他應邀在著名的在綫雜誌Slate.com上撰寫一係列有關中國的旅行文章。2007年，馬修的迴憶錄 American Shaolin 在美國齣版。2011年，他齣版瞭另一部非虛構作品Tapped Out，記錄瞭他受訓兩年並最終成為一位綜閤格鬥師（MMA）的經曆。目前，他正在撰寫一部關於李小龍的書。

评分作者行文是極其流暢，語言幽默，neta不少值得玩味，遇到的那些中國挫事他以相當包容的態度隻是抱以瞭開玩笑與嘲笑自己的態度（園田茂人當年遇到同樣的事情可沒有這樣的好脾氣，整個“中國人搞我”的臭臉都可以想像）。不過，普林斯頓高材生對中國民主的關心部分與道地的直言不諱應該被中文版和諧瞭不少吧。。。喜歡作者被中國人搞我之後在事後罵人的爽快

评分以武術為切入點，算是外國人寫中國比較獨特的視角瞭吧。P.S. 健力寶還真是強烈勾起90年代既視感。。。
评分讀起來很流暢，作者的語言也很有意思。黃段子一般，泡妞經曆略excessive。
