Growing up in one of the poorest neighborhoods of South Central Los Angeles, Tiffany learned to survive by making people laugh. If she could do that, then her classmates would let her copy their homework, the other foster kids she lived with wouldn’t beat her up, and she might even get a boyfriend. Or at least she could make enough money—as the paid school mascot and in-demand Bar Mitzvah hype woman—to get her hair and nails done, so then she might get a boyfriend.
None of that worked (and she’s still single), but it allowed Tiffany to imagine a place for herself where she could do something she loved for a living: comedy.

Tiffany Haddish is a breakout star of Girls Trip, alongside Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah. She appears opposite Tracy Morgan on TBS’s The Last O.G.; plays Nekeisha on NBC’s The Carmichael Show; co-stars with Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key in Keanu; and has made appearances in Mad Families, Chelsea Lately, My Name is Earl, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Def Comedy Jam, and New Girl, among others. Her first Showtime stand-up comedy special, She Ready, premiered in August 2017 and in November 2017, she became the first black female comedian to host Saturday Night Live.

评分Not so much of a “funny” comedy, but think about all the obstacles this young black woman has to overcome since day one! And her mamma and daddy.. those really made me cry. I hv nothing but respect for this woman. How positive she is today you would never imagine what darkness she rises from
评分Tiffany has a gift for being kind and optimistic. Just like other comedians, Tiffany takes refuge in telling jokes and making people laugh. Loveless upbringing brings so much shit to your life. Hope I could live by Tiffany's motto " have fun' no matter what you are going through.
评分看過tiffany的stand up comedy，感覺不如trevor noah那麼富有智慧和靈感，更多是充斥著cuss words，一如這本自傳一樣。tiffany經曆過的事確實是大部分人一輩子都難遇見的事，所以成就瞭她這樣一個不同尋常的人，她的樂觀和努力讓她最終成為一個成功的comedian。不過書本身的敘述更像茶話會講個故事給朋友聽，不像是一本正兒八經的自傳。
评分我想就是此書不佳，宜盡快讀完。
