Pullman Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago. His many books included The Rhetoric of Fiction and For the Love of It: Amateuring and Its Rivals, both published by the University of Chicago Press. Gregory G. Colomb (1951 2011) was professor of English at the University of Virginia and the author of Designs on Truth: The Poetics of the Augustan Mock-Epic. Joseph M. Williams (1933 2008) was professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago and the author of Style: Lessons in Clarity and Grace.

非常有用。不熟悉研究步骤的人,看完可以很好上手。用这本书高效的方法是:自己边做边看。研究做到哪步,就对照一相应部分看一下指导。我每次开始做一篇paper前就会参考相应章节的tips,然后再开始。等研究做熟练了,那些步骤都掌握后,就可不用知道了。(不过书里说的那些新人常见的错误还是都犯了一遍....)

评分非常有用。不熟悉研究步骤的人,看完可以很好上手。用这本书高效的方法是:自己边做边看。研究做到哪步,就对照一相应部分看一下指导。我每次开始做一篇paper前就会参考相应章节的tips,然后再开始。等研究做熟练了,那些步骤都掌握后,就可不用知道了。(不过书里说的那些新人常见的错误还是都犯了一遍....)
