While imprisoned, Wilde wrote this long letter of recrimination to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas. It offers fascinating insights into Wilde's life in prison and the background and psychology of a notorious affair.
著者簡介
奧斯卡·王爾德（Oscar Wilde，1854 -1900），英國著名纔子、詩人及戲劇傢。行文演論無不智趣橫生，卓絕纔情顛倒眾生後世。代錶作有小說《道林·格雷的畫像》，劇本《莎樂美》等，散文以駭世之作《自深深處》最為著名。其短暫一生精彩無比卻充滿波摺。1895年因“有傷風化”獲罪入獄。獄中斷續寫就給情人波西的一封動人長信，即其死後五年得以發錶的《自深深處》。
譯者硃純深，英國諾丁漢大學博士，宋淇翻譯研究論文紀念奬三屆得主，學術著作有《翻譯探微》等。現執教於香港城市大學中文、翻譯及語言學係，兼任《中國翻譯》編委及《英語世界》顧問等。

A fine touch on Love and Intellectual. Never has someone captured this great dilemma so subtle like Wilde. Never has someone translated the subtle feelings into words so brilliantly like Wilde. Yet it was exactly subtleness and brilliancy that he gave up for Love. Love VS Hate. Overloved VS Underloved. Machine VS Soul.
