While imprisoned, Wilde wrote this long letter of recrimination to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas. It offers fascinating insights into Wilde's life in prison and the background and psychology of a notorious affair.
作者简介
奥斯卡·王尔德（Oscar Wilde，1854 -1900），英国著名才子、诗人及戏剧家。行文演论无不智趣横生，卓绝才情颠倒众生后世。代表作有小说《道林·格雷的画像》，剧本《莎乐美》等，散文以骇世之作《自深深处》最为著名。其短暂一生精彩无比却充满波折。1895年因“有伤风化”获罪入狱。狱中断续写就给情人波西的一封动人长信，即其死后五年得以发表的《自深深处》。
译者朱纯深，英国诺丁汉大学博士，宋淇翻译研究论文纪念奖三届得主，学术著作有《翻译探微》等。现执教于香港城市大学中文、翻译及语言学系，兼任《中国翻译》编委及《英语世界》顾问等。

评分A fine touch on Love and Intellectual. Never has someone captured this great dilemma so subtle like Wilde. Never has someone translated the subtle feelings into words so brilliantly like Wilde. Yet it was exactly subtleness and brilliancy that he gave up for Love. Love VS Hate. Overloved VS Underloved. Machine VS Soul.
