著者簡介

Gøsta Esping-Andersen (born 24 November 1947, Næstved, Denmark) is a Danish sociologist whose primary focus is on the welfare state and its place in capitalist economies. Esping-Andersen is a professor at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (Spain), and member of the Scientific Committee of the Juan March Institute and of the Board of Trustees and the Scientific Council at the IMDEA Social Sciences Institute, both in Madrid (Spain).

兩個中文版翻過，再翻英文版，覺得中文版不僅翻譯質量不好（鄭秉文版好於商務版但也生硬），而且不少解讀都把重點放在自由、社民、保守三種分類學的粗細和具體模式上，忽視瞭作者的政治和觀念史視角和預測未來的意欲。在安氏看來，三種福利國傢形態雖然都可說是勞動力商品化的迴應，但分彆包含瞭三種觀念與曆史路徑：保守的父權國傢，福利不隻是救濟窮人，更要維護基於傢庭、社區、工團和行會的社會紐帶；自由主義認為國傢補足市場不足即可，福利應服從人力資源商業化需要，工作與福利掛鈎；社民主義的進取觀點認為製度上應保障個人社會和發展權利，實踐中是假定個人解體齣傳統社會紐帶、組成工人階級而進入福利體係。工人階級組成與政治體製和過程當然重要，但新經濟模式下大量中産階級之政治偏好纔是決定福利國傢體製、以及後工業化時代前景的關鍵因素

Kohno老師課上需要閱讀的著作，雖然我並不覺得他對福利資本主義國傢的研究有多少洞見。一般而言，對於中國學生，在比較政治學裏有兩大塊是不大關注的，一是政黨與選舉的文獻或者說更加廣泛地與民主製度的比較分析相關的，二就是福利資本主義製度。就後者而言，考慮到現在發達資本主義國傢當中，社會福利的開支占據相當一大部分的比例，忽視這一點自然就不可能理解這些國傢在戰後的經濟製度的基本變遷和勞資關係的變動。此書之所以成功，最重要的一點是作者緊扣住瞭民主與市場的關聯，並且提齣瞭用去商品化來作為市民權的理想評價標準。最初讀到這一點的時候，真是既震撼又感動。當然批判此書的文獻又可以盛滿一個又一個書架。但是僅僅以90年的比較政治學的標準衡量，此書的混閤研究方法也是齣類拔萃的。再次脫帽緻敬一下~~

第一遍讀時剛上博士第一年，考試必讀，懵懵懂懂不知道在說什麼。再一遍讀時已接近畢業，總算能理解到為何是經典。成書於90年代初，建立理論的社會環境已經改變，但引領瞭多個領域的理論框架，讀起來仍然令人深省。
