E. H. Gombrich's Little History of the World, though written in 1935, has become one of the treasures of historical writing since its first publication in English in 2005. Gombrich was of course the best-known art historian of his time, and his text suggests illustrations on every page. 评分看书评和作者的感觉应该是本好书啊，应该是以老人的口气写给小朋友的书，并且这个老人是研究艺术史的，应该能把这两者好好的结合起来，从不同的角度讲一讲，但是翻译的是在太差了~让人都读不下去了~ 有没有可以直接读的英语版？

评分非常好的一本书。原书是写给国外小朋友作为了解历史的儿童读物的，但是很适合我们学习英语用，用词不难。作者写的非常好，尤其是最后一部分，看完都感动的要落泪了。强烈推荐
评分我的历史入门，读起来非常有史诗感，但是只能算是历史上，尤其是欧洲史比较重大事件的讲述，帮助认清了很多欧洲的人名，如果能配上地图或者相应时间就更好了。不过没想到贡布里希对中国的认识也就是欧美普通学过历史的高中生水平，竟然把秦始皇叫做"Enemy of History" 以最后一章的一句话结尾，One can be attached to one's own country without needing to insist that the rest of the world's inhabitants are worthless.
