In the foreword, Edmund Morgan writes about Franklin's dual allegiance as an American and a subject of an English king, and his emergence as a leader of the American Revolution. This edition also includes biographical notes, a chronology of Franklin's life, and an updated bibliography.

读过他的传记再读他的自传多多少少觉得有点搞笑
评分文笔很好 老先生照片能上美元 果然及不平凡的 学习他的勤奋！可是也在质疑他过分功力的心理 看到后来情节变得很无聊。。里面的几大训诫倒是很好
评分13条美德看起来简单，要践行一生绝非易事。自传写得也符合Benjamin的特点，精简不浮夸，不像现在垃圾商业书，其实精华不超过10页但硬生生写个200页。
评分14年暑假读。本书告诉我何为伟人。可惜以天朝的条件，开国元老们不足以写下他们的自传。
