很全麵，單詞夠簡單。適閤foreigner閱讀並瞭解美國文化和美國精神。

在美國上夏校的課本。語言簡單且有注釋，詳細地說明瞭主要的美國精神與其形成原因。當時的我除去國內的道聽途說，對美國一無所知，從這本書獲益匪淺。盡管書中引用的數據與事件在今天略有些過時，追根溯源的東西考究起來也難免有所爭議，但若想以簡單的方式，較為客觀地瞭解美國，不妨從這本書起步。
