算是同性戀小說先驅，在那個年代缺乏理解的人是多麼令人感到難過。破碎眼鏡是幾個封麵裏麵我認為比較好的。

描寫風景的語言很多都很可取，但是有些敘述又比較流水賬，最可怕的是作者帶入瞭太多田徑和星座的jargon和obsession，顯得個人色彩很濃重。很可以想象這樣一本齣版於70年代的書對當時的lgbt群體有著怎樣的撫慰和cathartic的作用，鑒於此，它少許俗套狗血的缺點又可以被原諒瞭。
