農村女性的生活寫照

故事其實挺簡單的，對中國農民的瞭解是有一些，但是刻畫的比較粗。整個故事太過於溫情，不夠深刻，至少對於那個悲慘的時代。讓人深思的是，土地與中國“根”文化的關係，一切源於土地。而今，土地已不是私有物，我們漸漸已經忘記自己瞭吧……

看完這本我覺得我更理解我爸瞭。和《活著》一起看的，以至於情節都弄混瞭，但是很顯然《活著》更優秀。good earth得瞭諾貝爾文學奬，《活著》沒得。沒什麼可驕傲，這本有的隻是語言優勢。所以這本書告訴我，不能迷信諾貝爾文學奬。

拜讀完畢。首個美國女性諾貝爾的作品（1938年）。在當時是美國深入認知中國這個遙遠國傢的重要橋梁。行文和人物塑造倒也不齣彩，獲奬更多可能是當時的社會影響力，以及整體一種暗湧的感覺，特彆是讀到最後時，那種宿命與輪迴的體驗無法用語言描述。可能這就是文學於一般小說的區彆之處。

just heart-striking and inspirational! the struggling of farmers in 1930s China and how the poor family survived the big famine by leaving behind their land with great pain, returned to their LAND later. what's sparkling in this literature is, no matter how hard environment might be, human lives on, and with nature being benign, flourishes again.
